Juliana and Jorge called in 2017 to request a consultation. They had just had their front walkway built and were ready to begin a project in the backyard. But their front walkway had been a disappointment, and they needed a fresh start for the backyard.
From the beginning, the project had some challenges with existing grades. A pool, swim spa, and hot tubs were all options discussed during the patio design process. While it took a year to work through the many options for their outdoor living area, by fall 2018 we were ready to break ground! Plans were made for an above-ground swim spa that would have to be craned over their log cabin home.
The retaining wall and paving materials were chosen to complement the rustic wooded setting. Like so many of these patio projects, the scope of work expanded to include rebuilding the front walkway and installing custom radius step treads. LED landscape lighting was added in addition to lighting built into the walls & pillars.
This paver patio project will remain a personal favorite for many years! We worked through some bitter winter weather, and we greatly appreciated Jorge & Juliana’s offer to make their basement our break room. Thank you for trusting us with building your dream backyard makeover!
