This concrete paver patio project was completed late 2018, and while small it deserves the title of “Signature Project”! What is a signature project for us? It’s a project that, regardless of size, is a technical challenge to build, incorporates unique hardscape materials, has great design details, or a combination of all three! Our client, Karen, contributed some great ideas to the patio design and also gave us freedom in designing her new outdoor living space.
It was incredibly rewarding to see this home’s transformation! We began by removing the dated, worn concrete slab with outdoor carpet and the fiberglass porch roof. The combination of wood toned paving slabs, antiqued cobble stone, and classic paver pattern with the warmth of the wood pergola is perfect in every way! The pavers and walls were later sealed with a wet look sealer. LED lighting on the pergola and in the wall ensure that this patio will be a welcoming space long after dusk.
Here is what Karen had to say recently. “Who knew when I planned this project how important it would become! Since I’ve been working from home (due to COVID), I can step out of the house for a bit of sun and fresh air. I can take my lunch and coffee breaks outdoors. And when I finally met my best friend after 3 months of quarantine, it was a relaxing outdoor setting where we could physically distance and still chat!”
